Telegram Integration Guide

A guide on how to integrate your Telegram Account with Lindy.

By the end of this guide, you'll be able to receive and send Telegram messages with Lindy, including group chats.

Steps To Setting Up Telegram

Create a New Lindy

Click the plus sign beside Lindies to start building your Lindy.

Select "Start from scratch" and click Select Trigger.

Add the Telegram Message Received trigger. You need this step to access the Send Message action.

Now click "Perform an action".

Add the Send Telegram Message action under the Recommended menu.

Your Lindy should look like this:

Now we'll configure the Lindy trigger. Open BotFather on Telegram. This is Telegram's bot manager. Telegram's API only allows users to send messages to a bot.

Enter /newbot in the chat, select a name and username, then copy the token to access the HTTP API.

In the Lindy app, click the Message Received trigger and hit Add account.

Paste the token from the previous step into Lindy, and click Connect.

All set! Now you can message your bot in Telegram and get a response in Lindy!

Giving Lindy Access to Group Chats

To give Lindy access to group chats, you must add her as an admin.

First, invite your Lindybot to a group chat.

Click the Info of your group chat and select Edit.

Choose Administrators.

Click Add Admin.

Select your LindyBot.

And then give it all the rights and click on Done!
