Linear Integration Guide

A guide on how to automate your Linear workflows with Lindy.

With the Linear integration, you can manage issues, projects, statuses, and users straight from your workflows, as well as automatically create new issues when triggered.

Example:

Let's create a workflow that automatically creates a Linear ticket every time you add a row to a Google Sheets spreadsheet, and updates the sheet with the Linear link

Set up your Google Sheets and your Google Sheets trigger

Create your Google Sheets spreadsheet and enter the URL in the Spreadsheet ID or URL field in the New Row Added trigger configuration.

Add the Create Issue action, which creates an issue in Linear whenever triggered. Connect your account.

Set the title of the issue to be the same as the ‘Issue Description’ column in the doc. Select the rowValues output from the Google Sheets New Row Added trigger. This represents the text that was entered in the row. Switch the field to ‘Prompt AI’ mode and insert a prompt to instruct the agent to format the rowValues.

Now, update the row with the link. Add and configure the Update Row action to update the rowValues in the ‘Issue Link’ column. You will see fields for the spreadsheet column names dynamically appear. This is where you can update the values for these columns. Switch the Issue Link field to ‘Prompt AI’ mode and insert a prompt to instruct the agent to update that column with the link to the issue that was just created.

And you’re done! Go ahead and test this flow by entering a new value in a row on Google Sheets.

Note, it takes a few minutes for the flow to be triggered after entering a new row.
